1. Introduction
Welcome to StoryPoint.me. By accessing or using the services provided by StoryPoint.me (referred to as "the Service"), you agree to comply with and be bound by the following User Agreement and Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree to these terms, you must not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
StoryPoint.me provides a free, web-based planning poker tool that enables users to create rooms, join rooms, and participate in estimating tasks. The Service is provided "as is" and may be subject to change or discontinuation without notice.
3. User Data and Privacy
- Room Name: The room name is defined by the room creator (admin) and is not personally identifiable.
- User Display Name: The user display name is chosen by the user upon joining a room and can be seen by other room participants.
- Room Code: Each room is assigned a unique code, which is required for users to join the room.
- User UUID: A unique identifier (UUID) for each user is generated on the client side. This UUID is only stored on the server within the scope of the room and is associated with the user's display name.
- Data Persistence:
- User UUID, display name, last entered room code, and room name are stored locally on the user’s device.
- Points entered during planning sessions are stored on the server for up to 1 hour.
- Room details are stored for up to 7 days.
- Room participant details are retained for up to 60 seconds after a participant disconnects from the room.
4. No Warranty and Limitation of Liability
- No Warranty: The Service is provided "as is" without any warranties, whether express or implied. StoryPoint.me does not guarantee the availability, accuracy, or reliability of the Service.
- Limitation of Liability: To the fullest extent permitted by law, StoryPoint.me and its operators shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or exemplary damages arising from the use of or inability to use the Service.
5. User Responsibilities
- Accountability: Users are responsible for the content they provide when using the Service, including the room name and user display name.
- Compliance: Users must comply with all applicable laws and regulations while using the Service.
6. Changes to the Terms
StoryPoint.me reserves the right to update or modify these Terms & Conditions at any time without prior notice. Your continued use of the Service after any changes are made constitutes your acceptance of the new terms.
7. Termination
StoryPoint.me reserves the right to terminate or suspend access to the Service for any reason, including but not limited to violation of these Terms & Conditions.
8. Governing Law
